Each autumn Tuxedo and Tails Formalwear asks its customers how we are doing. This year we received eleven responses to our survey, which represents a response rate of a little under four percent, or a good result by the standards of cats. We present the findings below.
Overall satisfaction
Nine of the eleven respondents described themselves as satisfied. One described himself as “briefly satisfied.” One submitted a blank form with a paw print in the corner, which we have recorded as a vote of confidence.
The monocle question
Our flagship accessory, the Monocle, No Lens, drew strong reactions.
- Six respondents said it improved their appearance
- Three said it improved their vision, which it cannot
- One said it had been mistaken for a ring by a dog
- One said it had been swallowed, then returned, and was now a family heirloom
Fit and comfort
Respondents rated comfort on a scale of one to five. The average was 3.4, with the lowest scores given to garments with a collar, and the highest to the Velvet Pocket Square, which cannot be worn tightly and is therefore a favourite among cats who dislike being held.
Service
We asked about the quality of service. Praise was given for our tailor, Monsieur Thread, and for our manager, Lady Marmalade, whom one respondent described as “terrifying but fair.” Another suggested we have a lower counter. We are considering a lower counter, as long as the higher one stays, for jumping.
Suggestions
Customers made a number of useful suggestions:
- More pockets, ideally in places where a cat could reach them
- A rack of waistcoats for kittens
- Softer carpets near the fitting room
- Fewer questions about measurements
- More fish in the waiting area
Our response
We have taken your comments to heart and placed them on a shelf. We shall review them in the spring, in the presence of a nap.
Thank you
We are very grateful to all respondents, and especially to the one who completed the form twice and the one who ate it. Your feedback is vital to our work, and your fur is vital to our upholstery.
Tuxedo and Tails Formalwear is a fictional business, and this survey is entirely imaginary, although the sleeping respondents were very real.
